This year the Annual General Meeting of the Union takes place at 4pm on Wednesday 27th March.
The venue is the Parochial Hall James Street which is across the road from the Guinness Medical Center and beside St James Church.
This year marks the 50th anniversary since the Guinness Staff Union was founded.
The AGM Agenda will be :
- Election of Tellers
- Record of the previous Annual General Meeting
- Chairman’s address
- Presentation of the Executive Committee Report by the General Secretary
- Audited Statement of accounts
- Close of the Meeting.
A special meeting will be held once the business of the Annual General Meeting is completed .
This special meeting will consider a proposal from the Executive Committee of the GSU which seeks to open discussions whereby the GSU might discuss an affiliation with another Union.
This special meeting will only decide whether discussions on a possible affiliation will commence . In the event that a proposal emerges from this discussion a further meeting of members will be organised to consider and decide on any proposal that results from the discussion.
Also a special Commemorative badge marking 50 years of the GSU will be launched at the AGM on the 27th March.
All members who are available are encouraged to attend this important event in the Calendar of the Union.
